Revisiting my Birthplace in Chon Buri

During my third week in Thailand, I had the chance to revisit my birthplace, Chon Buri, which is a province set on the country’s eastern Gulf of Thailand coast.  Chon Buri is a vast and modern province, quite new and clean.  In Chon Buri, I got to see Si Racha, a town where I was born and I also got to visit The Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm.  One thing I found quite freaky with the crocodile farm was the big lake that you can see over 1,000 crocodiles floating around.  My stomach was squeezing the whole time I was walking over the lake because I fear that someone would fall in… Anyways, I also got to see the Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan), which is literally what it is, an image of a Buddha painted with gold on the mountain.  Later on, I visited the Pattaya Floating Market, which was a lot bigger than the one in Hua-Hin.  I got to see a vineyard somewhere further in the province and it was pretty cool because it had an Italian and French twist to it, which was definitely something Thai people loved to see.  My aunt then took me to see a very hipster and modern cafe called The Sky Gallery where it was right next to the beach; the whole cafe and the beach also looked like a painting to me even though it was real.  Last but not least, I got to see the Sattahip Naval Base and that was pretty cool.

During my stay in Chon Buri, my aunt booked us a pretty decent resort somewhere in the city and I really enjoyed the pool just outside of our windows.
